Are you suggesting that the Rams have 4 RBs active on game day? Or are you saying that either Rivers or Freeman should be inactive so Evans can get his 5 or 6 plays in? Either way you are compromising the game day roster just to see your 4th string RB in a real game. That's the downside: someone who can contribute to that day's game plan would have to take a seat to give Evans a look.
Having 3 RB’s active seems about right. But I’m suggesting that the plodder Freeman should be the inactive. At least for a game or 2 while Evans gets some limited snaps. Evans might just have a Rams future whereas Freeman is just a jag.
I have similar thoughts about sitting Kendrick and starting Tomlinson.
And sitting Jefferson and giving his snaps to Robinson, Skow, or Trammel.
Results should dictate who gets the snaps and/or starts.
