4 am. just pulled a calf. I'm tired, but I felt I needed to put this out there.
I cannot believe the outpouring of condolences on my my dog. it means the world to me. 2 hrs after Sparty passed on, my future father in law was admitted to the hospital with complications from prostate cancer. He's stable now. he's too tough to die, but the last 2 days have tested my wherewithal.
Where am I going with this? I'll tell you. This board has always been full of good people. I took for granted how good though. It's the best forum on the net. We may not all agree, but we are brothers. And I appreciate you all.
This isn't a "feel bad for me post" My life is amazing. A great fiancee, yes I proposed to future wife #3, I have 4 great girls that are killing it, I'm a successful farmer / rancher with a brand new house and grandchildren running all over. I just want you all to know how much I appreciate you all even if we disagree cough dude cough.
We all want the same things in life. And we all want the Rams to win. but at the end of the day, football is just a game, there is so much more than football. don't get too rapped up in the 7th rated te in the draft, or how big our 5th wr is.
But I will keep answering draft questions and working on my big board. Not because I have to, but because this board deserves it. God bless you all.
now off to check on that calf I just pulled. someone needs to tell me what sleep is like.
And I am glad your Father In law is now doing better. That's a lot of stress to deal with. Losing a dog can be as hard as a friend or family member. I hope your grief doesn't last long.
Cancer can be such a hard thing to deal with. I went through it with my Mother and also my wife. If you EVER need to talk, free to shoot me a PM.
I hope you cold gets better too brother. ( cough dude cough lol )
Let me tell you again as I did in our last conversation. I have never had a problem with your responses to any of my opinions. In fact I think we have agreed on quite a few things over the years. You don't call people names, insist they are just ignorant fans or look for self adulation. You don't try to force you opinion on anyone or get insulted when someone disagrees. You never try to be an internet Bully or a message board "know it all". I always feel you "attack" the "opinion" not the "poster". I respect that.
I have been here a very long time just like you. I have seen posters come and go. I have been accused of being a Homer, a hater (sigh, by one) and a sometimes my sense of humor doesn't always go over well with some. It all rolls right off my shoulders. I might have even p#ssed off the admins once or twice. lol
Out of those years I have been here I never really had a problem with anyone. Until recently...and it's not you. lol
When you disagree with someone, you know how to do it with class. (Even when you are wrong lol ) No calling the posters names, insulting their intelligence or need to look smarter than anyone else.
From my side, you and I cool and I appreciate your contributions to this board. I also appreciate your taking the time to post this. It wasn't necessary but it shows your a good dude.
I hope things work out for your father in law. It sounds like you are Blessed with a very awesome family. Keep the faith and I think you will be fine.
I am sure I speak for MANY here when I say we appreciate YOU too!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
