I know I'm old, but Merlin Olsen was pretty darn good on every snap. He wasn't the pass rushing threat these other cats are but he completely wiped out the run. And while he was being double teamed the rest of the Fearsome Foursome wreaked havoc on opponents. Deacon Jones created the sack statistic to keep track of his QB takedowns. But, right now and going back to the 80's it's AD, hands down.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Very few did. I would say AD, Lewis, EJ, Scott, Hendu, CK, Dixon and Gay were there. The rest? Not so much.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
There is little doubt that this guy can coach as his record is terrific and he's been to two SBs already. He is a huge upgrade from Fisher. But, something bothers me about him. First, why is he still calling plays? He keeps naming somebody else as OC who doesn't get to call plays so they leave to become a HC. And it is ridiculous to play SKOW so much and target him rather than the best WR in tby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Lewis played well when he was in there. He got an interception. Where was Floyd? Where was Hollins?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks for posting but what a ridiculous "article." It is full of inaccuracies and assumptions with no real research except VJ's stats and where he was drafted. And why is it the the Rams give us some estimate on how long he'll be out. It was day-to-day, but he'll probably be ready for the opener. Then, no, he can't play the opener, but he should be ready game 2. Now it's week-To-week?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Brostek was pretty good too. Pretty sure he was a first rounder. Our current team goes with late round choices for OL and traded first rounders for skilled positions. Goff, Stafford, JR, Givens, etc. Got us to the big dance in 2018 and last season. Could cost us if this year's OL crop can't pass block and protect our QB.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
There is no magical time limit. Maybe he breaks out this week. Maybe he doesn't get to play. Maybe he does play but shows nothing. Maybe nothing happens this week but next week he gets 10 catches for 150 yards and 3 TDS. Then what? We still have to cut him because he missed an impatient fan's deadline? He is 22 years young. He has no practical pro football experience. One target? On a short comby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
No, it won't be mind-blowing if Atwell had a good game. Not really even surprising. He is a good receiver with great speed. So if he gets behind the D he will score. Every time. When he does have a big game I hope that there will be a big Crow buffet. I'll supply the birds.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Like it. Oday everyday!by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think the Rams got stomped because there was a huge audience. They got stomped because the Bills are very good and the Rams played horribly. They should play better because they are a better team than the Falcons and getting stomped should get their attention and they'll be amped up to play their best this Sunday.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
The OL, whomever is the starting 5 should look much better this week anyway. The Bills might be the best defensive squad in football. The Falcons not as much so. So, if we run for 200 yards against Atlanta you could say that Shelton and Ancrum were the difference, but you can't compare the defensive resistance. Henderson got some hard earned yards. Akers was shut out. If they look like a pro boby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
What stands out is we got GG at #134? That's a home run. One of the best young NTs in NFL. These are pretty good picks for how late they were. Scott in the 200's? He's our starting FS and just won us a Super Bowl. Of course there's another shot at Tutu. He hadn't caught his first catch? Technically that's 100 percent true. But it also true that last season he got in on 10 total snaps with no tby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
If we can't beat the Falcons at home after being embarrassed in the opening game in front of the whole lot all universe then we aren't going to be a winning team this year. I think we win it. If not, we can do what we did for 25 years and start watching college football and handicapping next year's draft.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I am too fat to do that.by SoCalRAMatic - Bucky's Pub
No the list was not serious. Stafford is going to have a Pro Bowl year. And Wolford is his back up. And Warner was the number two when Trent Green went down. But, whatever.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Want to see Russell beat weasel face anyway.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
If McCutcheon got in for seven plays, got one pass thrown to him and didn't catch it would you want to cut him? Two preseasons ago Tutu caught all the passes thrown his way. None were spectacular as he was running those vanilla fake game plays. He didn't see a regular season pass. This past PS McCutcheon played great in PS but wasn't active for the first game. Tutu was the best WR in the ACC fby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
When you have two minutes Google Tutu's Louisville stats. They are very impressive. He led the ACC in yards and TDS in 2019. He was very productive. So far he has received one pass and didn't catch it. One! Maybe we should see a few catches before we judge his ability. He didn't do anything to be such a scapegoat.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Ahhhh. Good for him. I think with Higs money and our use of 11 Everett became a luxury. He was the first player McVay ever drafted so I'm sure he likes him. I wish him well. I also like the Chargers and can't wait for them to return to San Diego.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
With our OL looking weak and with two starters going down we might need to run more 12 just to get through the game. SKOW is a big body decent blocker so if we are in 11 he's probably on the field. With VJ out in 11, you're probably not getting a lot of blocking from Tutu or even Powell. Can McCutcheon block a lineman? I don't know. I know he can catch 50-50 passes down the field. Without a solidby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Saw most of the game. Steelers have a really good D. Bengals should of won a few times. Their snapper was hurt and the extra point to win the game was blocked and then. High snap threw off a FG try to win the game in OT. Burrow made big plays when they needed them.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Couldn't afford him. Where is he playing?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Obviously we also have Tutu. And from what I've seen McCutcheon is great down the field.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Thanks Mama. I did mean 10 days. Who do the Falcons have on their team? QB? WR? RB? I really don't know them.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I can't agree about the bill being due or saying we've drafted so poorly. We traded 1's for Stafford and Ramsey. With them, we won the SB. And they're both back with the team and signed. What superstars did the Jags draft with our late first rounders? The Lions? And we got the best WR in the NFL in the third round. That's one of the best picks of all time. AD was a pretty good pick. He's goinby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
I get that, but Atwell had nothing to do with the draft. He was available and got picked. He wasn't picking.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Wanted us to get humbled do he can build us back up. McVay has it all figured out.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
If/when he returns it most probably would be a Weddle signing. Late regular season to get his timing back and the four post season games. I doubt he would unrestored after a single game. He's not Brady.by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
Having opposing views is normal. It's actually good. It makes the board what it is which is great. And it's not so much that our views are so different. Firstly, I was really really hoping that we would pick Creed. I was astonished he was available and even more flabbergasted that we picked somebody else. It was obviously a bad pick in my mind and many others here and everywhere. That really hasnby SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
So we totally blew chunks on opening night. The Rams had an embarrassing performance after avoiding dress rehearsal. But, the Bills are very good. The Falcons are much weaker. We have 10 games to get ready for them. How will we play? Do we blow them off the field? Or do we fall apart in our way to a losing season?by SoCalRAMatic - RamsFootballFans.com
