There is little doubt that this guy can coach as his record is terrific and he's been to two SBs already. He is a huge upgrade from Fisher.
But, something bothers me about him. First, why is he still calling plays? He keeps naming somebody else as OC who doesn't get to call plays so they leave to become a HC. And it is ridiculous to play SKOW so much and target him rather than the best WR in the game an your new All Pro FA. SKOW got more targets than AR? How is that even possible. So now McVay is telling everyone the world including the Falcons that this week the ball is coming at AR? Huh? We aren't that much better than our opponents so we can tell you what plays we will run. And where are the new plays? Looks the same as last year except we have lesser blocking, no Woods, OBJ or VJ. One throw to Tutu? One target for Powell who actually caught it for a first down and then came out of the game. It's all unexplainable. How could we look so flat? Why were we totally manhandled?
Why weren't we ready? Well, it's hard to blame the HC right after his team won it all, but, SM, what gives? What were you guys doing in training camp except doing selfies with the fans? There was no evidence that anybody did anything except sign bigger contracts and celebrate last season. None. Please help me understand, because I really don't.
