Having opposing views is normal. It's actually good. It makes the board what it is which is great. And it's not so much that our views are so different. Firstly, I was really really hoping that we would pick Creed. I was astonished he was available and even more flabbergasted that we picked somebody else. It was obviously a bad pick in my mind and many others here and everywhere. That really hasn't changed much for me, but we can't go back in time and un-pick Atwell and I'm sure the Chiefs are very happy with their All Pro center. I also agree that Tutu is tiny. He is a water bug. And I noticed he got squashed last season even on a play where he wasn't hit. And on top of it all our HC who loves to throw kisses at his players told us Atwell wasn't working hard last season. He was a rookie bust. I think we can agree there. But, that is where I differ because I now draw a new line. Firstly, despite passing on Creed and
Missing on Atwell we won the Super Bowl anyway. I think all on this board were happy with that. So, it's a new year. Tutu has turned the page and come in with a new attitude and worked hard to change opinions about his play. He was thriving in camp especially on deep balls. He seemed to be ready for real games.
And then Thursday night happened. Our team did squat except for Kupp who is on another whole level. Scott and Gay played well. Hendu played okay. The rest of our mighty team got worked. We couldn't stop their QB or protect ours. Our special teams were awful. It was a total miss. So, we the frustrated fans need to find a scapegoat. Easy, let's pick in the little guy. He dropped his first and only NFL pass.
A lousy route and he got shellacked trying to catch a ball that never should've been thrown. And then he came off the field and never saw another pass. It's hard to defend him. He hasn't proven anything positive on a pro level so far.
He gained a few pounds but if he ran into me he would break in half. And I'm a mere 205.
So why do I? Well, he is a Ram. I cheer for the Rams. He was drafted very high with big expectations. And he has the talent to be the next Hill. The Chiefs would love to have him now that Tyreke left. So, until the day he is cut or traded I'll cheer for him and hope he can live up to his draft status. He may not. Not every player is a hit. But, I believe it is way too early to make to judge him. He is all of 22. He's only seen one more pass than me or you. I don't think he should receive nasty nicknames. I don't get the venom. He is a Ram. He's on our team who we cheer for.
