I know I'm old, but Merlin Olsen was pretty darn good on every snap. He wasn't the pass rushing threat these other cats are but he completely wiped out the run. And while he was being double teamed the rest of the Fearsome Foursome wreaked havoc on opponents. Deacon Jones created the sack statistic to keep track of his QB takedowns.
But, right now and going back to the 80's it's AD, hands down.
