I have intentionally flown into clouds a few times to experience the effects. As you know even experienced pilots can lose orientation in a cloud... so much so that even up and down can confuse them. I never experienced that degree of disorientation... but it definitely can effect recognizing a turn-bank-decent etc. I can well imagine that in a situation where you suddenly find yourself inby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
You might want to mark it on your calendar, Steve. Partial Eclipse.... should be good viewing although best in west Texas. Of course you'll need a VERY good sun filter for your lens. My daughter's lesson for her class today, (2nd grade), was weather. She accessed, for the class, one of the Live WebCams at China Peak Ski Resort so she could show them the blizzard. One of the webcam's is at midpoint and is pointed at a couple of buildings, one is a snack bar. It's called Buckhorn and thus the WebCam is called "Buckhorn Live Cam". the class loved it watchiby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It wasn't the tech inaccuracy that got to me.... it was the low IQ. :laughing I think if you totaled the IQ of all 4 girls it would be a stretch to say the sum would be any greater than 7. Ok... it was no JAWS.... but then you knew that. HOWEVER... I admit a bit of guilty pleasure while watching... and that's really what matters. Hate to say this about a submarine movie but no, didn't care for it at all. Won't go into why... I think some of you would probably enjoy it.... just one point: Never in the history of movies have I ever seen a more needless love scene. It had nothing to do with the movie... neither plot nor the character(s). I can't begin to think of a reason why someone came up with the idea of includingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
in Calif. Haven't been there, however, since maybe the early 80's. The game with Tulare.... really don't like sounding like sour grapes but we played poorly that day. NOT that we would have beat them at our best... but it was far from our best effort. Ripon's record is impressive. Undefeated in their league play. We had a couple of common opponents during the year and we both won aby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
As of now.... 6:48am, my day looks to be quiet... nothing planned. Movie watching time.... however.... days that appear to be quiet have this way of turning into chaos at the drop of a hat. :laughing But yeah, try to watch it today... gotta finish up a movie I started last night first - "The Wolf's Call", submarine flick. and pretty easily... our opponent was not that good. That happens in these tournaments because their algorithm for placing the schools into divisions then seeding them is terrible. Lot of mismatches. Next game should be much tougher... we were are 6th and we're playing the #2. Ripon, Calif. 47 Meters Down - Uncaged. My granddaughter was talking about this movie last night, she liked it... although she's not a horror movie fan. Said it scared her and gave her nightmares. While she was mentioning it, no spoilers, it sounded familiar so I thought, "maybe I read you guys discussing it?". that is... holding back for sports is 'parents' driven. And I'm also not so sure about "holding back from sports is not as easy as it seems", although you may have hinted at that with "principals don't want to resist a parent's decision".by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but I do wonder about how it's used so often. As for the 'exceptions'... I was thinking more about situations like a reliever who comes in and throws heat, or his stuff is working great, and is pulled after one batter. Is on my diet.... although the very high calorie foods I eat a LOT less of, maybe none. Portions are also much smaller. As far as deserts I don't eat dessert often, (never did). They voted to take away a year of eligibility for players who were held back in 8th grade. Hmmmmmm.... Let me say right up front.... Do you think the number of pitching changes in today's game actually pays off? It may... I admit, but it does irk me when a pitcher is on his stuff throwing his best and is pulled based on the type of hitter coming to the plate... or for any other reason.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Started it, I don't know, sometime in the first week of January and other than this last Thursday's binge eating at a Crab Dinner I have not strayed once. My granddaughter is insisting I watch it in the belief that I will love it. I dunno. I started it last night... didn't watch a whole episode but that's not because I grew bored (although I did), it's because I just wanted a quick view to see what it's about then go to sleep.
