but I do wonder about how it's used so often.
As for the 'exceptions'... I was thinking more about situations like a reliever who comes in and throws heat, or his stuff is working great, and is pulled after one batter. As far as starters -
What I wonder is: and I'm sure it's somewhat different depending on the manager.... it seems to 'equate' all starting pitchers by over stressing (IMHO), situations. Some pitchers, I think anyway, are capable of more pitches in a game than others? Yes? No? - JamesJM
