It's a great idea.. AND there are great benefits... I admit that.. BUT... I don't use it much. I try but just can't get into the habit to check it often. I use Facebook to make contact with VERY old friends, and a couple groups, and that's about it.... I stopped adding any friend request a few years ago.... but what that leads to is this: People pissed at me because I didn't reply.. or commeby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Is tuning them differently. With a double bass pedal you'll also get a different tone from each strike because the beaters hit the drumhead in different places BUT... no where near as different as using two bass drums tuned differently.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
WOW, he's not in the HOF?????by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Today's hard rock, metal, require fast drums 'rolls'... I call them rolls because they are that fast these days. 2 is easier... although there does exist a few who can play a single bass drum so fast you'd swear they were using 2. But also: They sell double bass drum pedals... they strike only one bass drum but there are two pedals... so same thing.... only two two bass drums look more bad aby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that by 'drinking' you mean chug-a-lugging 151 Wild Turkey with Tequila chasers. :laughing Unfortunately I had to take a hiatus from my Bocci Ball team this year... but I'll be back.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Now I like him even more. :laughingby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, when a band you go to see doesn't play your favorite song by them it's frustrating. :laughing Really kind of amazing how differently groups, vocalists, perform in concert... length of concert... how many of their older songs they perform.... talking to the audience... etc. I saw John Denver once and he played almost non-stop for a little over 3 hours. About half way into the conceby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I liked when they first came out. A few of them I loved when they came out. And a VERY few I still love today. I just can't play the same song for year's in a row and continue you to want to hear them... even if I still like them. Remember the Steven Wright joke? "Last summer my friend and I drove across the entire USA. We only had one cassette to listen too. I can't remember wby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
And he should thank me because I'm letting him off the hook... the actual amount owed would be 3, 4, maybe 5 times that much. Saw this on Facebook this morning: I hope, I truly do, that you don't remember how popular the last song on that list was. My bass player then, and now, and my other cousin Danny (RIP), insisted we learn the song... then play it at every gig... for years.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think every game he ever played... that was his "non-game" trademark. Loved that guy.... proud of you for having his jersey, at least at one time.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
To those who have only seen tv, isn’t it? My grandsons can’t comprehend it. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I had seen those Niner reaction videos but my wife had not. So after I read your post I showed her a couple... she's in heaven. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
but neither was anything special to me.... although I thought Christopher Waltz's performance in Django was stunningly good. The Ballad of Buster Scruggs I thought was brilliant... while simultaneously as depressing as it gets. :laughing Good call, I forgot about this one... and shouldn't have. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
"Lonesome Dove"... which was a TV mini-series so maybe it does not qualify as a 'movie'... but then so was Open Range and Broken Trail. But there are many old westerns, and new ones we're discussing, that I like nearly as much. Anecdote coming up - you can skip this if you want. This movie was so far ahead of it's time that it's spooky. I put it up there with "Stagecoach".by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
It's not really a 'game'... it's a scrimmage with full pads and contact. Only our own team is on the field playing each other... but it is considered the kickoff to the season. It's going to feel 'good'... back up the stairs into the bleachers... nachos and coke in hand... umbrella (maybe a canopy) to provide shade and hopefully some relief from the blistering heat... friends I haven't seeby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
As for Silverado.... my two son-in-laws loved "Tombstone", (who doesn't?), but have never seen Silverado... which I've been pleading with them to watch for decades now. They won't do it. They tell me it could never match "Tombstone", which it doesn't.... but it's still great and they should give it a watch. I liked the remake of True Grit. I think Jeff Bridges is a fanby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
If he advanced electronic drum innovation? Sure seems logical to me. The innovation in electronics drums is really amazing. They have not yet perfected the nuance ability of acoustic kits but they're getting darned close. Which means... harder to 'cheat'. :laughing Although you can probably tweak the kit to cheat if you wanted to. Example: Double stroke rolls... in other words R R Lby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Roland electronic kits so it reproduces the sound almost perfectly. Hey, I'm proud of you... asking about my iPhone being rattled. :laughing That was smart... but, it's an electronic kit so the high hat cymbals do not move... the pedal simulates the open and closing, the rubber pad replacing the actual cymbals doesn't move at all. At home I can't use the amp, too loud for my family. Iby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
loving that little Roland amp you see in the photo by my drum kit. Can't turn the volume up much, it won't handle the bass drum, but WAY better than using headphones. Can't see it in the photo..... well, you can but you'd have to have eagle eyes..... bought an iPhone holder that mounts on my hi-hat. Why, you might ask? Good question.... some songs I sing we do very seldom but will be doinby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
ain't much of a tour... two gigs... but that could be it. I say could be because our lead guitar player moving to texas got put on hold. His house won't be ready until March or April of next year. So we 'could' pick up another gig, or two.. but I doubt it. So our first farewell tour gig is Sat., or maybe it's Sunday... I never know until the day of the gig. AND... were practicing, once aby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'll give them an hour... that's it. Most of my doctors, I have 4, are not bad... an hour at MOST... but one... horrible. I have never waited less than 3 hours to see the one. My first visit, after having a stint put in, I waited 7 hours... I only did so because after the stint I figured I better pay attention, no more. Good story from today - I waited an hour... gave up and got in lineby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
not sure about school.... could be banned here at school, probably are, due to gang affiliation. But after school, around town? Very common.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I was reminded of this by 'tomatoes'. My Dad loved tomato and mayonnaise with pepper sandwiches. I never could understand how he could want such a concoction. Today? It's my favorite snack. :laughing Well, maybe not my 'favorite' BUT when the desire hits I HAVE to have one. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But I was impressed with Wolf when he came in. Not in the same way I am with a truly elite performance, like Stafford, but under the gun with little prep he did well, IMHO. I think he impressed his teammates as well... not, most likely, by his talent but by his moxie. I think he pumped that team up at a time when there was no silver lining showing. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Wonderfully written. Vin My daughter and my son-in-law just visited Chicago... you probably saw me post about that. They went to Harry Caray's bar, to pay homage. I could never begin to express how huge and important Vin, Harry, were... and many others. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I think I could live on nuts alone... and I mean ALL of them... there are NONE I don't like. My favorite, maybe, would be Black Walnuts but you'll never catch me turning down any kind of nut. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

I, too, like pralines, cookie dough is "ok", but NOT the stuff normally packaged as 'candy'. Keep eating those almonds, I have 300 acres of them planted and need the money. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Like M&M's. People who like candy pieces in their ice cream and I are worlds apart. Of course, I LOVE nuts in my ice cream... so I'm sure some will say, "Oh yeah, well YOU are the weirdo". BUT... There's a difference: I'm right and the others are kookie-putz. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
