They're record speaks for itself. McVay isn't Belichek but he isn't Fisher either. We have good players and a good OLine.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
JamesJM, You might be right, I considered that. Crap like this happens throughout real life. High quality circuit boards can have multiple, different, defects, which stumps the troubleshooters for a good while. Nobody believes it at first, but it does happen. Maybe this game was like that. I am one of the more pessimistic posters on this board and I had a bad feeling about this game. Ifby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I agree 100% Merlin. I'd add that McVay needs a kick also. Several fans, including me, are seeing a trend that McVay has been unable to get past the gut-trench warfare games. It's like he relies on his trick offense and when that gets stopped he's got nothing.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Your point is that much of the team was unprepared mentally. We had a group of guys so full of themselves that they did not take an opponent seriously. If that is the case then wasn't that lack preparation due to poor coaching?by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
They should have already dumped Sloman. McVay's toleration of poor play sends a bad message.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly, St. L. Belicheck couldn't win with me as a QB, but maybe he could do 500 with Case Keenum, (whom I really like but he isn't that great). Brady is much better than average. Paired with Belicheck, well you know the rest of the story. Also, when I saw that Brady left, I was almost stunned. I thought that had to be the stupidest move of his career. I've expected him to have had two bby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Bah! Both are great in their own right. I get the hatred and I enjoy seeing the Pats lose, but I'd taken Belichek over McVay anyday. I'd say they were more like Lennon and McCartney. Far better than average. The sum of the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It's more than just a great "process" and it's more than just excellent talent, but both are strong in their own rigby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I think Frisco bounces back strong from their embarrassment and the Rams are overconfident.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Well said Zn. We are all Rams' fans and we can all agree and enjoy the wins they've had thus far.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
My thoughts exactly Rock. Running QBs have a shorter lifespan, unless your name is Wilson or Vick. Once the injuries pile up their effectivity falls. That's not someone you want to invest 36 million in. That's the main reason why I'm glad we took Goff over Wentz.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I believe most here, including myself, thought the other kicker, Lirim Hajrullahu, was the better kicker and were surprised that Sloman won the job. It's clear that Sloman has missed too many kicks to be kept. He seems worse than Ficken. I don't know who really made the call to keep Sloman, McVay or Bonamego, but I've got to think that the ST coach had a lot of input if not the outright fiby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

What a pleasure to watch such a well-performing team. It's almost like art. I hope they get rid of Sloman, fast.by Coy Bacon - Game Time Forum
I am worried that better teams will chop up this defense.by Coy Bacon - Game Time Forum
I watched the SF/Philly highlights and Kittle was outstanding. I'm not knowledgeable about defensive strategy to any real degree but would it make sense to assign a safety to cover him exclusively each play? I'm thinking take away that one threat and SF looks to be below average.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Speed, I agree with you completely on beating the Skins. If the Rams lose to Washington then they are not who I think they are, and neither is McVay.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think this is a trap game. I think the Rams should crush them. I just read Canafora's article on this change and I didn't realize how bad things were at Washington. I think this move demoralizes Washington further.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I have a couple of thoughts and questions on this move. 1) Does this signify that Rivera is throwing the towel in for this game? I always thought Haskins was a stupid pick at 15 for Washington, but he seems to have held his own more or less and became a team leader. Benching one young and developing QB for a less proven QB, with less proven leadership, seems to be a stupid move. 2) Doesby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I thought the same thing. A comedy of errors, a dredge of poor play calling, and lackluster play occurred after that fumble.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Ekern, I thought you were saying that our OLine was so bad that even God would have gotten sacked!by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
If memory serves me correctly McVay has always been "too cute," i.e. too elaborate, too tricksy, in calling offensive plays. It is a weakness. I've always wondered if that approach, that mentality, was one of the reasons he failed so terribly in the SB. Don't get me wrong, he is clearly a superior coach, and clearly superior to Jeff Fisher, and I'm glad that he's our coach, but thiby Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I like the linked article because if gives an example of exactly what the coach was doing to help Goff improve. With both improvements in the OLine and Goff's game we see a top 10 QB so far. Goff may not be the best QB in the league this season but as he improves and matures, in time he definitely could nest as a top 5 QB for some time. I think the Rams are too good for Buffalo and that Josh Allen isn't as great as some are claiming now.by Coy Bacon - RamsFootballFans.com

Journalists need to make a living. Outrageous opinions, hype, exaggeration, butt-kissing, sycophant praise, bile-filled denounciations, all all clickbait designed to get readers and generate revenue. Plus, they want to appear to be ahead of the curve. How many times have your heard, "last year I was saying he was declining," or "I predicted this kid would be great."
