That Repairman told us that even Speed Queen is nothing like it used to be.Back in the day...Even my Dad who was Gung Ho SEARS and Kenmore, always said Speed Queen was the way to go but they were too expensive. They are heavily used in Laundromats.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
I know there are many out there that are run by power hungry egos. I also know that many people move into HOA areas knowing damn well what the rules are but then either push the envelope or run to a TV News station to whine. The very common one down here is .....Flags. MANY HOAs say in clear print...."NO flags of ANY sort". I like seeing American flags flying proudly as much as anyone.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
Because people are pretty much Dirt Bags these days. I have seen tooooooo many brand spanking new subdivisions here in Florida go to hell in hardly 5 years. One in SIX MONTHS! That Subdivision had a house that the owners painted BARNEY purple with green shudders! I mean ...HOAs are a must for people who REALLY care about their investment of buying a home. If unkept yards, yards with trash and 6 cby Ramgator - Bucky's Pub

That was the last game of the 79 season at Tampa. They had to win to Clinch. It was maybe the most rain I have ever seen on a NFL field. I remember watching that game. Bucs beat Kansas City 3 to 0 on a short FG for the only scoring. LOL THEEEEEEEE most rain I have ever seen at a game, my Dad and I sat in! It was in the Gator Bowl, here in Jacksonville, for a USFL / Jacksonville Bulls game. Itby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com

They have made games too generic, IMO. Weather and REAL grass n mud are SUPPOSED to be part of football! Now, the focus is on TV screens in the end zone so players can watch themselves do silly scripted celebrations.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com
The next 7 days calls for 10-20%. I always say......ANY drop of rain from April 1st to mid June is huge around here. It gets SOOOOO dry! It always RIGHT after the lawn turns lush n green and everything is blooming nicely. Then it all wants to wilt away for a couple of months.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
If you can get 4-6 years out of an appliance these days, call yourself lucky. He said they are ALL cheaply made, no matter the brand. Some are just cheaper than others. He said the days of passing down appliances are long gone. He told me it's smart to just buy middle of the road, cost wise.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub

Well....Our 10 month old Dryer is on the Fritz. The Timer knob is broken. SIIIGH....I'm sitting here, thinking back to the dryer my Mom bought in early 1977 that was handed down to me in 1997 and I had it till 2001 till I gave it to Neighbors of my Mom. It was running strong as an Ox at 24+ years old.by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
My ex and I AAAALMOST built in the same Subdivision. He lucked out. Their HOA was only $25 a YEAR! In 22 years, it has gone up to only $75-$80 / year. They are not NAZIs or PITAs but they DO enforce simple stuff to fix.....Like CANS in the yard! They give one warning and then act. I went through that area about 4-5 years ago and it still looked very nice. That HOA is not gonna jump on someone whby Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
They had a party with about 25 cars parked on every square foot of their yard and blocking the neighbors across the street from backing out with little room to spare. They also butchered a Pig and left the rotting remains in their garbage. I did not smell it but the neighbor across the street had the wind juuuuust right. When the approached the Summer's Eve people about it, they guy bowed up??by Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
My street does not have one but I sure wish it did. Next door, I have a neighbor who is CONSTANTLY pulling trash from her car. She'll set it on and around the car. I'm talking 2-3 times a week. Often, she will leave garbage in the area for her, also grown / 60something Brother to pick up or her 92 year old Dad. The house next to them is a Rental (Say no more) They have had three orange soda cansby Ramgator - Bucky's Pub
YES..Martz should have run Faulk but there were just toooooooooooooo many things that went against the Rams. Their "game winning drive" alone, had two plays that SHOULD have sent that game to OT.....The grounding and a pass play where the WR is down but Ref stops the clock after he places ball out of bounds. Not to mention, the Pats should never have even been in the AFC Title! LOLby Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com

They'd make up for the price cut with more butts n seats. I know it was just Arena League but the first year of our Jacksonville Sharks, they had $10 seats and you could get a Hot Dog AND Coke for $5. The Arena was always SLAMMED! Within 2 years, prices jumped and attendance dropped. That first year, I took me and my boys to a couple of games at a TOTAL coast (Parking too) of $55.by Ramgator - RamsFootballFans.com

Average Schmucks could rather easily afford pretty good seats. Dad and I often sat at the 35-40 yard lines for considerably less than an NFL game. The Jacksonville Bulls did very well with attendance. I remember the 85 game vs the Generals with Flutie and Herschel. There was about 75 K there that day. I remember Christmas Day 1975 and my Dad taking me to see "The Hindenburg" with George C Scott. Thanksgiving 1977, my Dad took my Brother and I to see Star Wars for the second time (My Brother's 3rd)...What I remember about that day was it was the first time I remember hearing Stevie Nicks. They were doing that decades old Redneck argument over who had the better Pick Up truck. One had just bought a 50 something thousand Chevy and the other a 50 something thousand Ford. After a 10 minute debate, I said......BOTH of you Clowns are suckers with fish hooks in your mouths. You both got screwed and don't even know it. I remember being starved for info in the aftermath. We were told little of the outside world till about 4-5 weeks in. Every morning, we'd pass a USA Today newspaper box on our way to training or classes. Being in the 4th row, far left, I could get a clear look at the headline on the paper, if for only 1-2 seconds.
