QuoteSoCalRAMatic About BQ, I won't apologize about his drops. They are awful. But, the WR position is about more than being a pass catcher. I think he's one of the better blocking WRs in the NFL. When we play our first game against the Niners we will undoubtably run Gurley early and often as we should with play action passes out of those running sets. I think must if these throws will be to Kenby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Helluva post, Cannuck... Made me chuckle so loudly that my wife asked "What's up"? Right up there with your "Beaver heaver" post, man. Might be my favorite post of the year. And it's now late August...by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuotePHDram and what at what position? i thought it was curious that coples didnt play until late in the KC game. at least i didnt see him earlier and i believe he played dt exclusively. Moreover, guys like cam thomas and longacre were playing at the end of the first quarter. Can anything be gleaned from that or are they just moving guys around to see the best fit? I just dunno, PHD.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteSoCalRAMatic Good points. I have a crazy, maybe stupid question...why can't Case start and Fiff gets a series or two during games? I never got the idea that the starter gas to be in there for every play. Why? Case does seem way ahead of Goffy right now and that's ok. Mannion is ahead of him too. If we have three good QBs why not use them all? In baseball there's a starter and a bullpeby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLBRamsFan I think Keenum is going to have to be wildly successful to keep Goff off the bench. Like first place, and playing at an all-pro level. If the Rams are win one, lose one, Goff will play. Fisher's mantra since the beginning is that "Goff will play when he is ready." He has explained that "ready" means that he can "protect himself." We've gotta bear in mind that it's preseason. Meaning that vets just aren't feeling the need to go 100% just yet if their starter status is secure. And GW isn't scheming much yet, if at all. THAT will change come opening day, trust me. This applies to both TruJo and TJM. We will see the "real" players there when the regular season begins. Both played at near Pro Bowl level in '15. The Rams are in an enviable situation at their QB position. Not comparable to those of The Bucs, Titans, and Colts when they each took QB's high and were forced to start them immediately because there was no credible alternative behind them. Keenum is a VERY viable option. A rare Ram winning QB option. Fisher can expect wins early and allow Goff to more fully develop properly. Best of bby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteFlorida_Ram Since JG hasn't lived up to my preseason scouting report/projections, I will keep my word and not talk about the signal callers for the rest of preseason on this board. You guys all make valid great points and I will leave it at that. Go 2016 LA Rams.... C'mon, Florida. Don't be so hard on yourself. Goff is growing and developing every single snap. Quotejoram keenum ran that offense that we have been watching other teams run wher i would say y cant we do just that. clearly goff has the better arm but keenum gives us a better chance to win Slight correction, joram. Keenum gives us the best chance to win. For now. Lol. BTW, Keenum didn't have Higbee or Spruce in his late run last year. Now he does.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky If they are not even bothering to throw you the ball during games as a receiver how can you make the team? Williams has been a non-factor as a receiver in these two games. Grits Yeah, Grits. Williams is an enigma. I didn't expect much from him, TBH, because I thought he was a head case. But then the positive camp reports started flowing, so I thought that maybeby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteAlbaNY_Ram Technically it's 6 draft picks for a guy who hasn't beaten out Case Keenum thru 2 preseason games. There's a big difference between not having the talent to start and not being ready to start. Is there any doubt that Goff will be ready to start at some point? (I'd say 'no', maybe some would disagree.) And if it takes say 5 games into the regular season before Goff is readby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I have a few concerns, too. But not nearly "step off the ledge" type concerns. Our DL? Well, it was scarcely our actual DL, other than cameo appearances by Donald, Brockers, and Hayes. Quinn out, too. They wanted (and needed) to take a long hard look at their depth players, and they did. Against the Chief ones through the first half, mind you. Our front 4 is the best in the leaby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
I dunno, leaf. 'Hiding" Williams just doesn't make a helluva lot of sense to me. If he's one of the best 6, he needs to get his targets and he would deserve to be on the 53. Heaven knows that we have openings at WR. If he's not one of the best 6 and gets plucked from the PS, so what? Then it would be a small loss. If it were up to me, I would be force feeding our WR candidates inby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
A stream of consciousness thing here, so in no particular order. Keenum will be our opening day QB. As Chuck Knox would have said, he's had a "real fine" camp and preseason. I, for one, am perfectly okay with it since Keenum gives us the best chance to win vs the Niners. Goff is growing right before our eyes. It's just a matter of time, huh? Is it just me, but doesn't it strike you that Mike Thomas has a far greater need to "bounce back" than Brandon Chubb? In terms of importance to the team, anyway? While we're at it, it would be an excellent time for about 4-6 other WR's to make a statement, as well.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

I think that our WR position is the weakest position group on the entire team. Or at least the one with the most question marks. So it will be the position that I will pay most attention to this evening. At least 3 of these guys really need to step up and PDQ, at that. All other position groups will sort themselves out because the talent is there.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
