Other than Fox, has any rookie made a really positive statement tonight? Including Goff, other than that first drive? Very disappointing.by Rams43 - Game Time Forum
Williams is playing himself off the team tonight. I was hoping that the Bronco game was a fluke, but no. It's like he's disintegrated right before our eyes in 2 weeks. Dang!by Rams43 - Game Time Forum

These rookie WR's are blowing a golden opportunity here. Wouldn't take a whole helluva lot to look good by comparison. Drops and stupid mistakes...by Rams43 - Game Time Forum

Rams keep finding DL gems.by Rams43 - Game Time Forum
QuoteRustyRay And can catch the ball. They are all starting and playing with Keenum however. I hope if the Rams are stating Goff tonight they give him the oline and the WRs and starting TEs. Maybe we can get a real feel for the kid then and where he really is instead of looking over his shoulder waiting for Williams guy to come clean again for yet another hit or sack. Or throw to Thomas orby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRAMbler .....I hope someone will tweet that our starters will remain on the OL as long as Goff is in. Williams at LT again, could spell the end of Goff's rookie season. You don't think that Fisher, Boras, Groh, and Boudreau are aware of Williams' bad game vs the Broncos, RAMbler?by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotereggae 1. They are not keeping 4 slot guys. Austin, Cooper Marquez and Spruce are all slot guys 2. They are not keeping 3 rookies You can derive your 6 from that Depends on how you look at it, reggae. Your "logic" might be flawed in this case and loaded with old style dogma. Maybe they're thinking outside the box here? Just keeping the best 6 WR's makes a ton of sense tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, our WR situation is kinda up in the air. Here's my take... Britt, Austin, and Cooper are locks. Spruce is a virtual lock. Best hands on the team. Something that any QB and OC greatly values. Might have some ST value, I dunno. BTW, where is it written that he can't get some snaps as an outside WR? Marquez probably makes it as a ST player. But he's no lock. Marginal value as a WR.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Donald's smile and "wait and see" comment tells me that Waufle and GZ have some surprises up their sleeve for when the real season begins.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteGreatRamNTheSky I wouldn't risk my number one overall pick with scrubs protecting him. Especially number 63 Williams at left tackle. That dude is a turnstile. Grits How can they develop Goff if they don't let him take snaps in preseason, Grits? Is that in Goff's long term best interest? I sure don't think so. Far better that he get lots of snaps both with and against the 2's andby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems that you are raising 3 separate issues in this post, max. 1) Keenum was previously a UDFA and has "bounced around". Acquired in a trade for a 7th rounder and was a mere backup for most of last year. All true. But now totally irrelevant, since he has grown and has now earned starter status. Wasn't even close. 2) Goff has not received the quality of coaching and developmentby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamFanInPA We have all heard that it is likely that Fisher & Snead will receive extensions in the near future. Personally, I do not agree with this, but I do understand it from a business point of view. That being said, my prediction is that they will each receive two year extensions. If they produce a winner great, if not, a new regime will lead the team into a new era (stadium, uniby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotereggae Quick willnot be the 6th receiver. He's the 3rd. No way they keep 3 rookies. And no way they keep 4 slot guys. I dunno, reggae. Don't be greatly surprised if the 6th WR is gonna be a vet off the waiver wire. Or a series of them brought in one at a time until they feel good about one of them and just keep him. And fwiw, I would take McRoberts straight up over Quick right now. Sby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteLMU93 The Rams passing game improving is as much about the TEs as the WRs. In the three years Cook was here he and Kendricks combined for 83, then 79, then last year down to 64 receptions. I would love to see Kendricks and Higbee combine for 80-90. If they did I think the 3rd down conversion rate and red zone scoring would be noticeably better. Ugly drop vs. PITT last year aside, I've alby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah, I'm thinking that picking up a WR off the waiver wire is quite likely, Rock. It's not as if our candidates for the 5th and 6th spots have knocked our socks off. Hindsight tells me that a Boldin signing would have been a smart move for a team that wants to "win now". But about bringing in a vet FS? I'm not so sure. Here's fanotodd... The Good: 1) OTree: there were at least 2 plays where I said "JL doesn't make that play." I just have to get used to that. I was especially impressed on the 2nd and 1 when Denver ran an off tackle/sweep and OTree ran it down and shot thru to make the tackle for no gain. The guy can run. 2)Barnes: He has settled in. Bonsignore: Sloppy Rams still need to clean up a few issues Aug. 28, 2016 Updated 8:43 p.m. By VINCENT BONSIGNORE / STAFF COLUMNIST DENVER – For everything the Rams got corrected Saturday against the Denver Broncos in their third preseason game – and we’re primarily talking about the first-string defense cleaning up its act and playing dominantly after getting pushed around the first tby Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

One small bread crumb is that Hemingway was specifically being used in ST snaps. I would now be surprised if he didn't make the 53. Sure wish he had done better in the Bronco game, though.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteJamesJM that I worry about that as well... that Fisher & Co. are not that good at developing and preparing individuals or the 'team' for each game. They HAVE had successes, however... but not, seems to me, at WR or QB and perhaps the OL although on the OL injuries have been horrendous. Me three, fellas. They haven't won me over at QB and WR development just yet.by Rams43 - RamsFootballFans.com

The handwriting was on the wall when they saw he was too slow as a DE for them. He apparently failed to convince them that he was a better DT than Cam Thomas for them.
