If the Rams had changed to the Stallions and changed their colors to purple and red, I find it very difficult to believe Rams fans would still be fans of the team. There are plenty of examples of teams changing their identity and I'd bet that tradition didn't keep most of those fans as fans.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield No I don't believe anyone would ever do that-but that is not my point ! And I think you know it by now-whether you agree or not. QuoteSuh-weet! QuoteRamkind I'm probably in the minority on this but....... Thanks for all that you did for the Rams Orlando. You were one of the best Tackles ever! With that being said, I think this whole thing is stupid. His number isn't retired. Until it is, players can and should be able to wear it. ... much less that it's disrespectful for a 7th-rounder to do it. He's saying it's disresby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Probably shouldn't snipe at those in a thread when you are also in the thread. Just sayin'.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamkind But is he saying that no one should wear his number or that it shouldn't be given to a 7th rounder? Personally, I don't think it makes a difference. Besides, wouldn't he rather have a 7th rounder using it who will probably not make the team and then he won't have to worry about seeing someone else wearing his number on Sundays?Well, to put it bluntly, no. Maybe they can just release him, pay him his money and start this average QB and see where they end up. My guess would be unemployed by 2022. lol. They have Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones(25) and instead of building upon that, they draft QB and RB in rounds 1 and 2? In one of the deepest WR drafts ever, they draft ZERO at a position of need? They just cut Jimmy Graham but don't draft a TE. Maybe it all works out but the strategy seems very questionable.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com

Quoteferragamo79 who loved the Bears My kingdom for a QB.....for all the Goff Haters, remember those days and the Millers, Kemps, Bradfords, Banks, insert name here.........I agree with your sentiment but Voldemort would have done quite well with that '85 team IMO. Quote21Dog Should have stuck with and developed Jaworski in the long run.Maybe but he had at least one more good year in him and he should have played that year as a Ram. Hadl and Gabriel both had good '73 seasons but Hadl fell off even more quickly than Gabriel did after that. I just think Gabriel deserved to be treated better than that by the Rams. '74 & '75 he was definitely winding dowby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
They did get an MVP year out of John Hadl and did draft Vince but overall, they just couldn't get it right. Let Gabriel go, traded for Harris who couldn't stay healthy, drafted Jaworski but he only got 3 starts as a Ram and Philly showed that the Rams were misusing him. Haden was a WFL guy but he was just too undersized. In '73, they drafted Jaworski but could have had Joe Ferguson or Danby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Looking back at that draft and what the Rams did, they signed Dieter Brock and drafted Doug Flutie when they could have had Randall Cunningham.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
It's hard to say. Robinson obviously didn't value the QB position so in '85, it probably wouldn't have mattered who they had under center. Trying to squeeze the last bit of life out of re-tread QB's cost the Rams more than 1 SB IMO.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm right there with you in @#$%& about the details but let's keep this real. The team is still in good hands and if you have a good/great owner, good/great coach and your QB, you're at the very least 8-8 with a chance for a lot better. Our tumultuous '18 was still a winning year and literally 2-3 plays from being a 10+ win season and the playoffs. There is no way I'm going to lump that inby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
But one minor difference the Patriots have is the outlined numbers.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
If a guy's good, then he's good. Other than Woods, how many ex-USC players do the Rams have? I'm not really looking at bringing them in to sell tickets, I'm looking at their connection to LA as a possible motivator for them to join the Rams. Lee may not be healthy enough to fill the role but if he is, I think he's worth considering. Give him an appropriate contract and let him be more of aby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
I'd kick the tires. It's easy to forget but Lee was the biggest playmaker on those USC teams. I've only sort of kept an eye on him since he went to Jacksonville but I could see him playing much better for McVay. I don't think he did well as a high draft choice with high expectations but I could see him coming "home" and re-establishing himself with the Rams.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 as part of the issue, but also some real physical issues with the knee and blocking was not the bestIt is my guess that he got an earful for his dropped passes and fumbles and being outplayed by CJ during the 2018 playoffs and he never got over it. Yeah, those cumulative numbers look nice and do hold some value, when you look at the average it's nothing special and really not worth paying a premium for. If he gets cut, wants to come to the Rams and showcase what he can do...fine. But the Rams are in no position to pay big money for a RB.by moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 Rams are not gonna enter the season with 2 running backs what if Henderson gets hurt again or doesnt pan out....Brown is nothing more than a JAG plus he has a significant injury history Do you really think the Rams released TG due his attitude? Or because he is not the same playerSadly, attitude. Gurley showed that he could still perform...when he was motivated. Thaby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 You know I love ya, 666. Look, we can both massage stats until the cows come home but this will still be true. While Hendo seems to have a ton of potential, the fact remains that (for whatever reasons) he underwhelmed in ‘19. I don’t think that’s debatable. And until he DOES demonstrate that his college game does translate to the NFL many of us will be skittish. I’m pullinby moklerman - RamsFootballFans.com
