Maybe but he had at least one more good year in him and he should have played that year as a Ram. Hadl and Gabriel both had good '73 seasons but Hadl fell off even more quickly than Gabriel did after that. I just think Gabriel deserved to be treated better than that by the Rams. '74 & '75 he was definitely winding down but that would have been the perfect time to transition to Jaworski.
