They did get an MVP year out of John Hadl and did draft Vince but overall, they just couldn't get it right. Let Gabriel go, traded for Harris who couldn't stay healthy, drafted Jaworski but he only got 3 starts as a Ram and Philly showed that the Rams were misusing him. Haden was a WFL guy but he was just too undersized.
In '73, they drafted Jaworski but could have had Joe Ferguson or Dan Fouts.
In '81, they'd let Vince walk but could have drafted Neil Lomax.
In '85, they could have drafted Randall.
There were opportunities but the Rams didn't really seem to get back into the modern era until they made the move for Everett in '86.
