Quotezn QuoteRamsFanSinceLA To me, it's clear by what we've seen and read that McVay and Snead did not handle this thing great. At the same time however, they didn't feel Goff was their answer at QB. I think both of these things are true. We may never know the gritty details but McVay and Snead felt strongly enough, right or wrong, about Goff not being what they felt they need, that they essby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield IMO McVay is kind of weird. Not the type of person I would want to be friends with. Doesn't seem to have any "depth" to him. Even if you wanted to discuss football with him I can't imagine a "conversation" with him-more like you listening to him. He doesn't project any sort of warmth to him. Even Belichick gives off a sense of engagement unless your a reporter.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn QuotePHDram The whole thing seems out of character for mcvay. This is just speculation but maybe the LA lifestyle and the model gf distracted goff? And it's interesting that the automatic, immediate, kneejerk idea is that it must have been all Goff. We've seen things from McVay indicating that he has a temper and wants to micro-manage. We've seen things from Goff to indicate thatby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRam49 Weird how this is being swept under the rug. Experienced football people are starting to question McVay....as they should. Who are these experienced football people? Do you have any links that would point to that information?by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com

I know now after 5 years of being an NFL QB, Goff just isn't great and most likely never will be. He has, IMO, reached his peak. He has arm talent no doubt but the flaws in his game hold him back. But, he is still a good QB. He's better than what we've had for many moons before him. Do I want to settle for good? Nope. But unless you've got a proven commodity to replace him and not a quesby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't see how they can move him right now. I also agree that both McVay and Snead are definitely taking a different approach with their candor and that the motive is to try to light a fire under Goff. I think they would prefer that Goff takes the next step so that they can realize their investment in him, rather than move him and take a huge hit. Also, unless they were able to obtain a proveby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Nope. That’s much too high a price for a QB that’s looking more diva-like all the time. I hear ya 43. I've read the Watson was miffed because he wasn't involved in the GM hire decision??? Quoteden-the-coach No run plays, roll outs or even a QB Draw that would have been good with Rodgers. Should have gone for it on 4th down, worse case, you have Tampa backed up too, if you really trust your defense. TD & two point conversion ties the game, you go for that, hands down. Yeah and on that 3rd down play, it looked like Rogers could have run for the TD to the right. Instead he tby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
So it's just fine to toss out his 2 worst games because they "tilt the numbers", but it's not ok to toss out his 2 best games? OK, got it. ZN, I love your Rams passion but I'm never going to agree with you on this so this is as far as I go on this one. Cheers.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotedzrams Quotezn Counting the 15 games he played, ie. 17 minus the 2 disaster games (which takes away a TD), that's 19 regular season TDs passing, 2 playoff TDs passing, and 4 regular season TDs rushing. 25. I could be wrong but I think traditionally the TD/TO ratio uses thrown passes. I believe that is correct dz.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotezn What's happening is in using misleading averages 2 especially bad games tilt the numbers. The problem with averages is that they hid changes. 2 games, 7 turnovers. Indicative or a crisis that got fixed? You are talking about it as indicative. Why? On what basis? Well it's 3 turnovers total since those 2 games. That includes 2 playoff games with none. QuoteBigGame81 QuoteSpeed_Kills year after year McVay's staff gets raided...this is all you need to know If the Chargers want him I want a draft choice Yeah, I've got a deal for the Chargers. Goff and O'Connell for Herbert. I'd do that one in a heartbeat.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Quotewaterfield But the penalty is for an unlawful hit after the ball goes out of bounds meaning the play was dead at the time of the hit. Not saying that is what happened by asking what if that was the case. Meaning as soon as the ball goes out of bounds its a touchback and the ball belongs to the defense. I don't know, maybe they get the ball at the 10 instead of the 20? Good question thoughby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Exactly...what happened?by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
We lost this game in the trenches. Our DL got manhandled. We couldn't stop the run and we never laid a hand on Rogers. Our OL got manhandled. Although Akers had a pretty decent game, he made a lot of those yards on his own. But the pass protection was not good. Goff was sacked 4 times and harassed all game. We need to improve this OL, especially the interior. If Edwards was playinby RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Somebody on this board has been calling him a JAG from day one, but I digress. Akers was great. He runs with speed, power, agility and vision. He is clearly our best RB and as long as he stays healthy he's going to a key cog in the machine for a long time.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams_81 That he did enough to get a roster spot yesterday. I like that he wasn't overwhelmed in his first NFL start. I like that he runs better than Goff. I think he managed the game and since Murray was out, the Rams were able to back into a win. Quotestlurams Zero touchdowns yesterday. Thanks to a non-catch by Everett when the ball was perfectly thrown and then a fumble at the one yard line by Akers where AZ recovered. You're right though, no offensive TDs but we really should have had two.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
Neither will I. His job is to catch the ball and he has a hard time doing that. That throw into the end zone was perfect and he couldn't come down with it. We can do better.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRampage2K- QuoteRams43 QuoteRampage2K- Quotemax It’s mind boggling that some guys are still clinging to the same excuses for Goff even after Wolford exposed them as untrue. Quoteoldschoolramfan Good news is, when you get that groove back, it's middle of the fairway and life is all good again. Goff's in a funk right now. Wolford could be exactly what this team needs. Quoteoldschoolramfan Goff is in his 4th year of this offense. The grass is not greener, it's kind of getting brown. I thought he would be MILES ahead of where he is right now. To me, it just looks like his head is not in the game. He looks like he's confused or struggling. You know, like a golfer struggling off the tee. Can't get it going down the middle of the fairway. So a bad football team in need of a QB just outright cuts him, and you want him??? There is no way this kid would give Goff any competition. I want there to be competition but let's get someone legitimate in there instead of just another warm body.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit That seems to be the refrain every time Henderson gets run down: X is one of the best at his position; Y took a really good angle; Z jumped offsides. I don't remember Chris Johnson getting caught from behind. I think Henderson is not seeing something right. You may as well try to compare apples and oranges.by RamsFanSinceLA - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit Henderson really does not have good in-game speed; I mean he is slow. If you watch that video, Adams is just eating up ground and it looks like Henderson is running in concrete shoes.
