I love the guy, too. But he's in no way ready. He'd be QB3 on Denver. You don't trade for a QB3.

Denver's QBs are terrible. Bridgewater is a checkdown artist, very similar to Goff in fact, in my estimation. He's not going to hold up well in that offense. He's going to shrink the field with checkdowns then they'll go to Lock who is even worse.
Perkins as backup is better than Lock. Follow me here. Not saying he's some amazing QB2. He's simply better than Lock who cannot even get through his reads in their offense. Perkins has done that all preseason and he also can run a bit to extend drives. And they can get him on the cheap. All I'm saying.
