We're in Limbo....

With two regular seasons to go we are being ranked in two different divisions, (maybe 3)... and thus have no idea where we'll be placed in the playoffs.

We won't know until CIF (ruling agency), tallies its final computer rankings. CIF has us as "Base" Div IV... I assume that's where they rank you to start the season... but currently we are ranked in Div III by CIF which, again I assume, is where they 'project' we'll be placed in the playoffs. In two other rankings, (one I'm not sure has any authority at all), we remain in Div IV. In ALL of them we are ranked either #4 or #5. What I'm getting at here is:

It's chaos. I know several people who are quite involved.. coaches, office holders in ruling agencies, and not one of them has a clue what is going to happen.

Our coach, and I'm sure all coaches, have the right attitude... being: "Out of our hands... lets practice". Even after the final game we won't know until the computer says - so we 'may' get a home game, may not - play in our division or not - Be ranked #1 or #12 in our designated playoff division. AND... confusing the issue even further... there ARE "projected" rankings... which means coaches must decide if it's best to 'win' their final games or to 'lose' them for better playoff seeding.

I know I'm 'old school' but I am convinced people 'then' were far more qualified to figure things out since they didn't make decisions with their heads firmly up their asses. - JamesJM
