I grew up in the inner city (south central L.A.) but I think you are absolutely right in terms of smaller families and larger farms. That also points to something that I believe is a common denominator in most all our issues today: Those couples that should be having children have stopped doing so and those that should not have continued to have children. Doesn't portend well for the future.
