I'm curious about distances....

granted, I haven't spent a lot of time in Iowa but I remember it as a large state and in many area there was considerable distance between towns.

It's like that where I live... I know of a couple schools that incorporated into one but few, darned few. I don't see how that trend would work here, logistically. The cost, seems to me, would be exorbitant just in transportation costs alone.

Actually, the last move like that that I can remember happening here was the exact opposite... The town of Mendota attended Tranquillity for many years... then Mendota built their own High School. - JamesJM
