smallmouth, however, I think is fantastic.... if fresh. I also like Blue Gil and Crappie.. which I believe are in all the lower 48?
Have a friend who did the same... ate so much salmon he got gout.... or at least he thinks that's what caused it.
Fresh seafood is pretty easy for me here... even though I'm not on the coast I'm only 2 hours away.
I think my favorite 'fish', (I prefer shellfish), is halibut. BUT... you really need to be a great chef to prepare it, and I'm NOT. I've tried but it never turns out like some of the great halibut I've had in restaurants. - JamesJM
