It's an acquired taste. Or you might think differently if it's literally straight from the source to your plate. In terms of nutrients, I go with frozen as its "iced" almost imnediately after it's caught and maintains the nutrients. Taste? Well, not so much.
You are correct about two things. . . I've heard nightmares about pond-raised fish, as you never know what crap they toss in to feed them. Especially if it's imported from Southeast Asia.
And you are correct about tuna. . . it does have high mercury levels. . . especially albacore. But eaten in moderation poses no problems.
The other problem with fish is, it's very expensive.
