This was in the early 90's. My wife, before I met her, got a ride from a guy who was passing by. Her car had broken down on a bridge... a good hour ride from her apartment. So this guy was taking her way out of his way. When they got there he suggested a little repayment and pulled his zipper down... As he was starting to move towards her, her roommate came out to see who drove up. She said it was creepy and scary... Who knows what would have transpired if her roommate didn't wander out. Hopefully no would have meant no. But the bottom line is don't hitchhike.
