To much to type out right now but here is the Cliff's Notes version.
All over the USA. For 9 months. Started in Ohio. We left with 40 bucks and about an ounce of weed, each with a duffle bag of clothes. I was not yet 17 years old having graduated from HS a few months before I turned 17. Went through 17 or 18 states I'd have to look at a map to refresh my memory. I came home not yet 18 but was all grown up lol.
Years ago I had a falling out with the guy I made this trek with. He has hopefully beaten the alcohol demons.
But for years after, and I mean YEARS, we retold stories of that adventure until our significant others stopped wanting to be around when we got together hahaha. It was almost all we could talk about and kept us laughing constantly.
We talked about writing it all down and trying to sell it as a book or movie but we were certain nobody would believe us.
Oh one other thing. He had a still valid Air Force ID and he was over 21. His head was shaved and we looked enough alike that I used it countless times before and after that merry go round 9 months.
It was the best experience of my life outside of falling in love.
