well over, actually. BUT THEN - - - -
On the 10th 98º.... on the 11th 90º.... and, (drum rollllllll), on the 12th 89º.... 89 is less than 90.
You'll think I'm kidding when I say this next thing - - but when we get into the 80's I'm going to be a bit chilly. Our opening football game, two weeks ago, we had a FREAK day of weather in which.... wellllll, I can't remember the exact temp but I believe it was low 90's..... and around 8pm I was wishing I had brought a light jacket. It was probably low 80's with a slight breeze.
Now after that one day under 90 we're headed back up into the 90's BUT NOT over 100º. I am NOT about to say we're over the extreme heat, however. Nearly every year we get a 'tease' in which we drop under 100º and some, (youngsters), believe we've survived another summer. But us oldsters know better. Mother nature just wants us to think we've survived and THEN.... WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another week or more of hellish heat.
I have a theory, I've had it for a while now. And one day I believe I'll be proved right and I'll go down in history with the likes of Einstein. I think our seasons are 'shifting'. All seasons are coming 'later'. Scoff if you want.... but one day you'll tell your grandkids "I knew a guy on the Ram's boards that predicted this when the experts did not. The guy was a genius and before his time". - JamesJM
