Today and the next 3 days over 100º... well over, actually. BUT THEN - - - - On the 10th 98º.... on the 11th 90º.... and, (drum rollllllll), on the 12th 89º.... 89 is less than 90. You'll think I'm kidding when I say this next thing - - but when we get into the 80's I'm going to be a bit chilly. Our opening football game, two weeks ago, we had a FREAK day of weather in which.... wellllll, I can't remember the exact temp but I believe it was low 90's..... and around 8pm I was wishing I had brought a light jacket. It was probably low 80's with a slight breeze. Now after that one day under 90 we're headed back up into the 90's BUT NOT over 100º. I am NOT about to say we're over the extreme heat, however. Nearly every year we get a 'tease' in which we drop under 100º and some, (youngsters), believe we've survived another summer. But us oldsters know better. Mother nature just wants us to think we've survived and THEN.... WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another week or more of hellish heat. I have a theory, I've had it for a while now. And one day I believe I'll be proved right and I'll go down in history with the likes of Einstein. I think our seasons are 'shifting'. All seasons are coming 'later'. I buy Blue Bunny brand ice cream quite a bit but I just buy the regular ice cream. However, a few weeks ago I bought some Blue Bunny soft serve (salted caramel) by accident. I saw Blue Bunny and salted caramel which sounded good to me so I just put it in the shopping cart. I didn't notice that it was soft serve until that night when I was gonna eat some. I liked it, but man... you have to eat it up once you serve it in a dish cause it melts kinda fast! Recently a friend of my granddaughter came over because she said she had an original recipe for homemade ice cream that her grandparents made AND knew a store, somewhere up north, that sold the old and natural ingredients. I think it was a dairy that sold not just dairy products but some other foods still grown the old fashioned way.

Is Magnum ice cream being discontinued?
On March 19, 2024, Unilever announced it would divest its ice cream brands and cut 7,500 jobs in order to make “a simpler, more focused and higher performing Unilever.” Included in the spin-off are Ben & Jerry's, Cornetto, Magnum, Talenti, and Wall's. The divestment is expected to be completed by the end of 2025

So, if one day you discover you can't find it in stores anymore... you'll understand why. They were pricey compared to just your average ice cream bar... but they are oh, so good. Other flavors in the Magnum line are good, too!

Overall IMO it looks like a way for a government to have total control over it's people.
