But it won't start that way - -
When I was a kid I used to get car sick.... that ended by the age of maybe 10.
So for nearly my entire life I didn't get nausea/motion sickness from cars, boats, planes, theme park rides... none of it phased me.
Now I'm elderly and a couple of years ago I rode the big ferris wheel at California Adventure, (connected to Disneyland).... they have your standard seats on the ferris wheel but they also have some seats that rock and roll as you go around... your choice. We chose "rock and roll". About half way thru our ride I felt something I had not felt in many, many years. Nausea, motion sickness... and it was bad. Yup.... I was no longer immune.
I immediately said to myself, "That's it JamesJM... no more deep sea fishing for you".
Ok... Cruise ships.... is it possible to get motion sickness on a Cruise ship? And I'm talking those mammoth Cruise Ships... like the size of New Jersey. Do they rock and roll at all? Now yes, I know, that in a harsh storm at sea ANY ship pitches about but I'm talking about just a typical day at sea - - - -not quite calm but not a typhoon either. Do they roll?
As you've guessed I've never been on a cruise ship.... no plans to go on one either BUT.... my wife has. Her and her friends have taken several and of course she now demands that I go on one. I'm fighting it tooth and nail... I have no interest in a cruise ship and I don't mean just because of motion sickness... just nothing about being locked up in a hotel appeals to me. However, after that Ferris Wheel experience I'm wondering... and if you're wondering... yes, I'm offering that as an excuse to my wife for why I can't go on one. - JamesJM
