the Xanax.... and at least I think I did. It was an anxiety medication, or that's what I was told... and I took it to sleep so if it has effects you can feel while awake I missed that.
I have often heard of Ambient... for sleep. As you know I have insomnia, (not as bad today as it used to be), but my doctor would NOT prescribe medications of any kind so I was never able to try it.
Wine can help me sleep but there's a problem with wine.... it has to be the precise amount... one sip over the sleep dose and I'm up all night. That equates to about 1.5 glasses of wine, (pretty big glasses).
I wrote on this board not that long ago that for almost my entire life I took no prescription drugs... occasionally an antibiotic but that was it. Today? i'm on high blood pressure meds.... 3 of them! Plus I take a daily vitamin now and also Vitamin D and Zinc....so that's 6 a day!!!! From NONE to 6 a day!!!!! I'm not fond of it.
