the chargers were bad against the run going into that game, the broncos did not show up to play their game, the game before that was the packers game, they were bad against the run but we gained a total of 150+ yards...I don't consider the cold as a reason, the other team ran at will.
I wouldn't put much into this late ability, although I can see that they do have the talent to run the ball. The hawks are bad as well against the run, even worse than the chargers. I don't think you can say we have fixed the run game, or figured it out, I'll just ride it while it's happening.
I still think we have a good bit of work going into next season to really fix it. Like having the ability to run at ANY time against anyone. I am not discounting the extra yards Cam is getting, those yards are truly there for him (with effort)....the yards after contact are there for him anytime he hits the field.
I also think bringing RB coach Brown back into that room has energized the room, that pass block by Cam was a great block, those type things are IMO what Thomas Brown brings to that RB room, hope he stays around and continues next season.
