I remember other posters explaining why they hate Mcvay's RBBC approach. They were right. It seemed very discombobulated and out of rhythm. I'm sure that affects backs like Akers. Hopefully, we will commit to Akers as RB1 next year and only bring in another guy for a change of pace (but also has upside if Akers gets dinged up). But Akers needs a bulk of the snaps next season.
Also, I would love to know why our run game has been working so well lately. Whatever Mcvay has figured out, I hope he continues to build on it next year. I would imagine that the run game will open up even more when defenses are worried about Kupp again.
