Yeah, he must provide something that teams like, I'm just finding it difficult to identify what it is. The more I look at his career the more it looks like he's just good at things other than coaching though.
He was DB's coach in '07-'08 but that D was good for a long time before that and I'm not sure what credit he deserves for Ronde Barber and Philip Buchanan who were already long established pros.
Morris deserves credit for his 10 wins but that seems to be an outlier or exception to the rule. That team certainly went on a run but his other 3 years he was 11 - 32(.343). Like I said, it is my impression that coordinators who get a shot generally do something that is really positive which leads teams to think that it will translate to more positive things on a bigger scale.
I don't see that with Morris. He seems like a basically competent piece of a puzzle but not like a difference maker.
