Fire Morris and hire Abrey Pleasant as DC. Abrey knows how both Phillips and Staley played the defense. This secondary hasn't been the same since he left. He knows the players and how to play them. It's not the scheme as much as how it's played. Morris is too passive and calls a game like a scared rabbit.

This was the worst game I've ever seen Darious Williams play. His play has been deteriorating all season. IMO another side effect of losing Pleasant as is the discord between Rapp and Ramsey. IMO it's no coincidence it happened under Morris who IMO has done far less than a stellar job coaching this defense. Going from #1 to #16 is no coincidence and reflects a poor coach.

This may be the most baffling issue: The secondary has appeared confused and out of sync all year. I know there were some player losses, injures, illness and the like. But Williams digressed, Long went from "has potential" to "bench him", Burgess went from "has potential" to "Benched". The Ramsey/Rapp scuffle. (Rapp has pretty much looked he same). Ramsey maybe having words with Morris and possibly starting to freelance. First few games I can understand that things haven't yet gelled. By game 17 this shouldn't be happening.

I don't know if it was the loss of Pleasant. Or if Evero is in over his head coaching the entire defensive backfield. Instinct is to look at Morris. As a former DB himself you would think this wouldn't be occurring.
