I look at things in context, not just through the Rams looking glass
I knew at the time that the 2020 rams defense was a rare event. Not common
and not likely to repeat itself.
Some of you guys think you are entitled to that every year.
it's not something that happens often. Look at the league.
Look at old not dead. he wants Zimmer. Why? because of
a reputation made 3-4-5 years ago. Well, in today's NFL
that was then this is now.
Further many of you people didn't want to discuss the defense
and the problem with rationality, Many of you wanted to fire Raheem
which was silly. It was reactionary, unsupportable
off-the-charts rediculoes.
Irrational to the max, you fire guys that have a defense like Zimmer
27th one year, 30th the next.
So, with the radical ideas here we never got past the fire Raheem narrative.
So, what could be discussed with that kind of irrationality?
So, when looking at the Rams defense IN CONTEXT with some experience
A team that does give up yards---you wish it would be better
but a team in the top 5 in points allowed, top 3 in sacks, top 3 in picks,
top 5 in defensive passer rating, top 5 in DVOA, top 5 in hurries,
is not that bad. It is not a firable defense
so, I push back. And I am as right on this as I am as I was on Allen, Stafford,
and many other things...I am because I do the work
I just dont' do what oldnotdead does--just yell at the sky and watch one team
play a week, the Rams...
