The Rams were on defense for 989 plays last year compared to 1,118 plays this year. So, while the cumulative numbers are in the ballpark, they were on the field almost 10% more. So, those cumulative numbers need to be adjusted by about 10% to make an apples to apples comparison.
think about it---are you missing a key factor? You say you want apples-to-apples what happened
this year that skews the number of plays?
Long, sustained drives by the opposition. One extra game wouldn't account for 125 extra plays on defense.
Yup! I posted PROOF we were giving up too many long double digit drives a while ago. Not an opinion...proof! In fact, I heard oldbutnotdead posted my stuff on another board!
All those extra plays wear out your players and set them up for injuries.
I wonder how many 3 and outs we forced this year compared to last year? Doesn't seem like we did it very often this year.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
