I disagree.
I also don't agree that it's Super Bowl or bust. That is just a disappointment waiting to happen. There are all sorts of factors... Just a low percentage bet.
The Rams are so much better on offense this season it has made football enjoyable again. It's been 20 years since the Rams have had a great QB. And he is a joy to watch because he is so talented.
Anyway, Stafford is an aggressive QB. Too aggressive for me but I would rather too aggressive than a QB who plays scared. I will take it. The bonehead plays have to stop. There are too many. I think this might be a Detroit stain that he hasn't been able to wash off. The desire to make a play vs the discipline to not try to make a play. Again, I would rather have a playmaker than a hand sitter. But I think he will learn he doesn't have to make those plays, it appears to be instinct. There are HOF QB's with this issue.
Anyway this is a drum you have been beating for a long time now. I have looked for but don't see what you are seeing. For me it's just not there. No reason to try to change my mind or something. It simply doesn't matter. Most, if not all, know that you think Stafford is a streaky QB. I see an excellent QB who has a few games that are not excellent. I would say that is true of all (nearly all?) QB's out there. Certainly the ones that play aggressively. The nature by which they play the game lends itself to errors. A game of inches.
Very well said, Atlantic. Take a bow, sir!
As an aside I agree that the ‘must win a SB’ is a glaring strawman. There are an infinite number of variables throughout the season that affect who wins the SB. It’s foolish to put it all on the back of any single player.
