This feels desperate to me. And this hopefully isn't because of ONE clunker the Rams have thrown out there this year.
OBJ is another D. Jackson. He must be in the spotlight or he isn't happy. Both talk about wanting to be on a championship team, but what they really mean is that they want to be the brightest star on the biggest stage. And if that doesn't happen, all hell breaks loose. The honeymoon is usually very short.
OBJ has been selfish and divisive wherever he has been. What's changed? And he's not half the player he was a few years ago.
Unless the Rams are going to become a team that is heavily skewed towards passing (perhaps 60 - 65% of the time), there will never be enough balls thrown to satisfy all the WRs. Our top 3 WRs won't say anything publicly divisive when they get fewer balls thrown their way. But don't think for a minute that their happiness level won't decrease. All of these are proud, highly skilled athletes.
One other thing. How in the world do you integrate a new WR in a few days into a very complex WR system that requires a mind-meld on choice routes with the QB? Will OBJ block on run plays (that'll be the day)?
Bad signing. Second real bonehead move by Snead and McVay this year (the first was in signing OBJ's twin, D. Jackson).
