in 2018 IMO.....Matthew has 5 games and a training camp.....but even with his hiccups....starting in 2019 more often then not when Jared was in a rut he stayed in it...After that SB loss Jared never raised his game....that is why he's gone. IMO even with the mistakes that Matthew has done...what is it now....2 INT's/11TD's.....something around that...sorry I just can't pick out his slow starts so much....bottom line he's leading the lead in the long ball game so far...The problem we had 2 years running was the shrinking field we were giving a defense to defend.....
In 5 games he has 5 explosive pass plays over 40 yards....Jared had like 4 or 5 total his last 2 years here.....No, I can't see any Jared in what Matthew is showing.....he's got the 3rd highest passer rating in the league, he's played 5 games in the system, the real system not the one Sean went with with Jared the past 2 years.
I guess a person can look at his interception and see Goff, but IMO he'd have to multiply that INT by at least 20 to be in that comparison. I guess a guy could look at his passes being off in these couple games they are there, but IMO that doesn't put him in the level of game Jared was at for 2 years and maybe counting ( don't watch the lions )...
