Even with the missed passes and the finger injury, at no point did I feel like the game was slipping away from Stafford. He just fights through things.
We know that Jared Goff could do that, because that is exactly what he did in the NFCC game in New Orleans.
But at some point, when things went bad offensively, they mostly stayed bad. Like, Goff wasn't there pulling the team out of the spiral, he was often in the center of it.
I'm not sure why that was. Sometimes it's the confidence that an athlete has in themselves or their surroundings.
Keyshawn Johnson said on the radio a few weeks ago that, at some point, Goff and McVay started having disagreements about offensive strategy. Like, Goff was unhappy with the scheme.
Stafford looks like he has (and wants) full command of the offense and is working out some things technique-wise.
