Lawler is a try hard guy with limited talent. He had one really good preseason game, but didn't do much in the others. He's a good football player, but Obo and Lewis are better at what the Rams want most: pass rushing.
The thing that to me they are taking a chance on is the injury situation. It seems like both players are hurt a lot. On the other hand, so was Lawler.
Technique you can teach. Talent you are born with... or not. Easily the most talented is T. Lewis.
