Perhaps someone is saying how great Wolf is: I'm not. I'm saying that as it stands this year, if Stafford went down a couple of games, I'd much rather put in Wolford than Perkins. Why? Because that 70 minutes is valuable. And because he's been in the system longer (Perkins didn't even get a regular preseason last year, and certainly got no meaningful QB reps in practice).
There's no way that Perkins is mentally up with Wolford because he just hasn't had the time to be.
