to read defenses pre snap, or have that "feel" that innate feel for what a defense is doing. The reasoning of taking what a defense gives you can make sense to an extent...it can also be a crutch used to hide inabilities of the guy pulling the trigger......I am not slamming Jared, I am looking at possible weaknesses in his game that he tries to hide with the idea of giving what a defense gives him.
I can see now why he seemed to at a bad % throw late passes deep, or overthrow them or even under throw them.....he was too busy worrying about what a defense was giving him, that takes crucial time away from at times off schedule imagination, feelings, reading of a defense can allow you to go beyond just what a defense allows you.
When you play that way you better have a defense that is better then your opponent because when you play what a team gives you have lost at least half your O plans.....if not more.
