Not sure whether the Texans will play that game. But he's a young guy who thought he had a thing going and he got burned. I'm not of the mind that he's some terrible dude or anything like that. Let that process run its course then roll him back out on the field to rebuild his career.
He's going to play again in this league. He can be a positive force for this stuff too in the future. So yeah I'd be after him still if I'm a team who doesn't have a QB. Even if I have to wait a year or whatever.
And I agree that draft picks don't touch the value of an elite QB. It's so hard to get to that level in this league. It's so hard to find these guys. Just one trait can keep an otherwise supremely talented QB from becoming that good and reaching that level. So if I'm Green Bay I'd be more than willing to play hardball with him but I'd also be looking to move him to Houston for Watson. Buy low and park him on the roster and when that stuff is done in the courts back him up in trying to make the world a better place and rebuild his name.
