Thanks, Deadpool
I guess the surprise that has stuck with me is that the chose juniors
After using the Senior Bowl so wisely, and this dates to Fisher; The club selected Juniors with their early selections.
Why do they come out early? Granted life stories I don't know, but it makes the choices more dicey. Take away the combine notes, and meds, and take a year of game play away, and just feels so unfamiliar.
I really love interpreting comments by some analysts
In this case, Deadpool.
They had him pegged at 57 without regards to who was on the board.
Translated: "Idiots!"
On Jones.
Interesting pick. Thought this was another reach.
Translated: "Interesting = Eyeroll. Nitwits! Brighter, better to be had. And....2 reaches don't make a whole."
I can go on......
"Not in my top 200 prospects"
"Not on my stacked board"
"Not ranked on any of my lists"
All in all not the dream results
The summation section is just terrific, and hits all the fine points.
That two of most informed draft guys had plenty to question about the selections
Couldn't agree more that if you can take a flyer on a guy with double ACLs that taking one on one of the 'backers or edgers with some flags seems pretty easy.
