These are two guys that played at high levels, as drop back passers, on two top level programs and played outstanding ball.
The have sufficient arms but it's what's above the shoulders that matters.
Those guys are accurate, are consistent, threw a ton, brought their teams back from behind, and got through their progressions and seemed to make good judgments.
Ohio State QBs haven't been very good in the NFL for a long time. Actually, they have stunk the place up for probably 30 years. I think it has to do with the program itself, how they use the QB, and the type of offense they run and therefore the attributes they seek in a QB. One can only conclude that while those attributes work well for college, they sure don't seem to translate to success in the NFL.
Then again you'd think soon or later one will hit. Maybe you'll be right and it's Fields.
