Financially this makes a ton of sense.
Atlanta was taking Lance at #4 but I think that's the QB that SF takes ahead of them now.

Oh, I certainly get the financial benefit. Rams made a similar tradeup for Goff just 5 years ago. Made a lot of other moves possible for several years.
But even Goff, a #1 overall, never really worked out as the projected 12-15 year franchise QB, did he? Wentz, the #2 overall, was a mixed bag, as well.
Not to mention how the Winston and Mariota picks worked out.
See where I’m going with this? Again, 49ers are REALLY going for broke with this move.
