It doesn't sound like much but in fast moving sports, those tenths and hundredths of a second could be the difference between winning and losing.
2 historical rams plays come to mind: Warners game winner in SB34 where the Freak is bearing down on him and just misses crushing Warner to make the ball go wildly off course and in SB36 where Leonard Little nearly gets a strip sack of Brady on his GW drive. A couple of ticks either way on those and we potentially have different SB winners.
I know you are good with Stafford and your critiques are not about him but how McVay handled Goff.
I really think the difference in the 2 will be night and day in this offense.
Maybe its wishful thinking on my part, I just see a much more confident and decisive QB when I watch Stafford play v. Goff.
I see a savvy veteran in Stafford, a talented one.
In terms of confident and decisive--my argument is that we saw that with Goff before McV went toxic on him. We probably disagree on that but, that's history now. Though--I like discussing history.
It's one of my great flaws.And yeah a 13 year savvy vet should be good in this offense.
