Ain't that the truth!
Yep it's the truth. Here's Silver's comment.
Quote
In fairness to Goff, he was blindsided. Neither Snead nor McVay had told him the team wanted to move on, or anything close to that.
What is that comment about? It's about Goff no longer being considered the starting qb and the possibility that they wanted to move on.
What are YOU GUYS talking about?
The general long period of toxicity between Goff and McVay.
Did Goff or Silver say it blindsided them that there was a long period of toxicity? No.
It's about the team's decision to no longer consider him the starter.
In order to try and (for some reason) exonerate the coach, you are pretending (on no logical basis) that the long period of toxicity is what's being talked about.
Well it isn't. It's specifically about the team deciding he was no longer the starter.
Is a coach supposed to reveal that through public info without telling the qb first? No. That's bad management and bad leadership.
Is a player supposed to guess they're thinking that? No. It's the coach's job to directly say it, face to face, before going public. Because here's what the starting qb expects, especially after being extended with a second contract--that no matter what is going on, he is the starter till told otherwise.
Why would he expect that? Because that's the norm, that's what leadership is supposed to do, that's how it's done.
What are you guys doing so that you don't quite grasp all this?
You are pretending that the months of toxicity is what is being talked about. It's NOT. It's the direct revelation that as of "now" (whenever that is), the qb is no longer considered the starter.
There is absolutely no logical, valid, good reason to dodge that and try and distort the issue.
