When you trade a 1st or 2nd round pick for a guy that is playing better than 90% of the 1st rounders in the league, those are good mathematical probabilities that it is a good trade.
I have one caveat. Draft picks later in the first round have tremendous money value and football has a salary cap so that is the part of the strategy that is biting the Rams in the butt right now.
But player to player who is going to do better. Ramsey or a first round pick. Ramsey is going to win that one 9 times out of 10, probably 19 times out of 20.
