Report: Brockers available for trade, Rams getting calls about Woods...If you can get a decent draft pick for Brockers you pounce on it.
It seems like a long shot that any teams would bite because Brockers was merely average last season and he's 30 years old now.
If the Brockers rumor is even a little bit true, teams will likely call the Rams bluff and wait for Brockers to be cut instead of investing a 3rd or 4th round pick. A late 4th or early 5th might get a deal done but I'm leery of this rumor.
Bobby Trees is a different story but not to be ignored.
I doubt they trade Woods because he's the best WR on the Rams based on reliability and he's underrated imo.
I think Kupp is the best Rams WR when healthy but not by much over Woods.
Kupp's knees have been trending down and he's on the hot seat if he gets injured again this year.
The Rams need WR help even if they stand pat with Woods, Kupp and Van Jefferson.
Because of Covid and the owners voting to lower the 2020 salary cap is beyond ridiculous and greedy on every level.
The owners easily could've kept the salary cap the same as last season and not one of them would be suffering with the pocket books.
The 32 NFL owners as group are filthy rich. They are so rich that Covid and the empty stands are no way a reason to lower the the cap.
2019 Salary Cap: $188.2M2020 Estimated Salary Cap: $180.0MThe NFL owners would not hurt one single bit by keeping the 2020 salary cap the same as it was in 2019.
They are using Covid and the empty seats as sneaky greedy leverage to lower it.
